I did the same thing I did with the first book\movie and watched Catching Fire right after reading the book.

General Notes

I am so glad they did better in the editing! I know probably nobody noticed but me, but it made me happy all the same.

I always love when they quote lines or conversations from the book. In any Book-to-Film it makes me so happy – partly because I know there’s a lot of people who won’;t get why I’m fangirling in a corner.

I really loved how they did the arena. I didn’t get a super clear image in my head from the book, so to see it helped a bunch.

I don’t typically reserve a corner for clothes, but I really, really loved Katniss’s Mockingjay dress. Her wedding dress was cool, but the change was even cooler.

Her Tribute outfit was good too – much better than in the books, I think.

I know I already went over her in the Hunger Games Movie Review, but I have more to add, okay?

First of all; in both the book and the movie her PTSD (Post-Trauma-Stress-Disorder) showed clearly. No one ever said outright that she had it, but it did appear in her mannerisms and anxiety.

Also, I’m not so sure I like her scenes with Gale and Peeta. She seems way more wishy-washy in the movie, and that gave her a bad image, and was totally different from the character in the books. Maybe that was just me, though.

Again, I already went over her, but I liked her even more in this second movie. I feel like her personality came out even more. Any suspicions I had about her in the first movie are gone now.

Finnik & Mags

Perfect! I loved Mags!

Beetee & Wiress

While they didn’t look exactly how I pictured them, I think their characters came across really well.

That’s my review of Catching Fire. Did I miss any characters you wanted to hear about? Or anything else? What did you think of Catching Fire? Let me know below!
