I love the cover – This might be my favorite out of the first three Selection books.

Despite the synopsis, there is pretty  much nothing between her and Aspen. I feel like from the beginning, there was no hope for the two of them. Maybe that was just me – but I was mad when he came back. He screwed up, now he should deal with it. So if you don’t want to deal with that love triangle, don’t worry.

The writing style was the same as always, and I found myself loving characters…that I never thought I would love. The way I do. Now. (whaddaya know?)

A lot of deaths in this one. And there was one – I won’t say it, for those of you out there who haven’t read the book – but it was not okay with me. I just sat there, trying to process what had just happened to this character, who I, surprisingly, had come to like.

America didn’t mourn this character as much as I wanted her to, but I don’t count that against her.

I was a little frustrated with how often America messed up her life in this book. Now, I’m not beating up on America here. I love how relatable America is, and I don’t like people beating up on her.

However, I was kind of annoyed (this has actually happened with a lot of characters – usually when there’s some sort of misunderstanding, and you just want them to make up. And they won’t).

Overall, I liked the book, and I plan on buying this book, and the others.
